Because...

Breast awareness shouldn't begin with fear.

It should begin with KNOWING your body.

Pink Nari makes breast awareness simple, approachable and relevant for young girls—because knowing your body is a life skill.

What led to Pink Nari

When I was 15, I wanted to learn about my breasts.

Not because I was worried about breast cancer.

Not because I had noticed anything unusual.

I simply wanted to understand my own body and become more aware of it.

But when I started looking for information, I found something unexpected.

Almost everything I came across was about breast cancer.

As a 15-year-old, that made me uncomfortable. I remember wondering, Why am I being asked to think about cancer at my age? Why do I need to look for something so serious when I’m so young?

It was my mom, a breast cancer survivor, who helped me see it differently.

She told me that breast awareness isn't just about cancer. It begins with knowing what is normal for you.

Because if you are familiar with your own body, you are more likely to notice when something changes. And being aware of your breasts should not feel frightening, serious, or taboo.

We learn to understand our periods.
We learn to look after our teeth.
We learn to care for our skin.

Our breasts are also a part of our body. Why shouldn't we learn to be aware of them too?

My mom introduced me to breast self-examination as one way of becoming familiar with my breasts. But when I looked for resources that explained this to someone my age, I couldn't find many that felt relevant or approachable.

That made me wonder

If I, as a young girl simply trying to learn about my body, was put off by resources centred around cancer, how many other girls might be feeling the same way?

That is where Pink Nari began.

Pink Nari is my attempt to make breast awareness simple, approachable and relevant to young girls.

The resources are designed to be easy to understand, quick to learn and easy to share—with language and visuals that feel natural rather than intimidating.

Because I believe that knowing your body is a life skill that every girl should have the opportunity to learn.

If you feel the same way about breast awareness or wish to know more
